Vijay Deonarin is a Marine Technical Consultant at Mainstay Consulting Group through his company, Yacht Solutions (BVI) Ltd, bringing decades of hands-on expertise to clients across the Caribbean. Originally from Trinidad, Vijay has built a career as one of the most respected marine technicians in the region, known for his deep knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical installations, and vessel structures.
With a background spanning over 20 years in the marine industry, Vijay has worked extensively on a wide range of vessels—from private yachts to commercial charter fleets. His specialties include engines, generators, electrical systems, refrigeration, and FRP (fiberglass-reinforced plastic) construction and repairs. Vijay has received factory training from leading equipment brands and vessel manufacturers, making him a trusted resource for complex diagnostics, system installations, and troubleshooting.
Vijay’s approach is practical, solution-oriented, and collaborative.
